A Postdoctoral Fellow in Transportation Engineering is available in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Howard University, Washington, DC. The candidate will be working on several Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), National Science Foundation (NSF), and Amazon-funded projects. 

 

• Recent graduates with a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/ Urban Planning/ Transportation Engineering-related areas are preferred and encouraged to apply.

• Preferred skills include econometric and machine learning modeling, statistical analysis, programming (Python, Gauss, R), Geographic information system (GIS), survey design, and data collection. In addition, candidates with an interest in traffic operations, crash data analytics, and safety operations, among others are of interest.
